Chevrolet History: Chevrolet is named after its designer Louis Chevrolet who was commissioned by a successful buggy manufacturer from Flint, Michigan, William Durant to help him design a car for the general public. The company was established in 1911 and the famous bowtie shape made its first appearance in 1914. The Chevrolet brand quickly captured the imagination of the car loving community because of its trustworthiness and performance.
