HBO’s “Mann v. Ford,” a documentary of an environmental fight between the Ramapough Indians of northern New Jersey and Ford, will debut at 9 p.m. July 18. The film examines a small community’s battle against both the automaker and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, which failed to ensure that Ford cleaned paint sludge and other waste from land near its now shuttered Mahwah, N.J., assembly plant. The toxins were dumped between 1967 and 1971. The EPA erroneously declared the community safe and clean of toxic waste.
