Infiniti is well known for it’s beautiful and high performance luxury cars and the G37 is one of its most popular models. The exterior is edgy, agressive and bold and yet smooth and balanced due to all the swoops and curves on the front end. This is a car that is definitely noticeable on the road due to its all-around good looks and sporty stance. The 2010 version has been reshaped with a new grille and front lights. This car functions very well as an everyday car but it offers the handling and performance to compete with entry level Mercedes and BMW autos. The G37 is available as a coupe, sedan or a hard top convertible.

There are four trim levels available: base, Journey, G37X and Sport 6MT. All of the models except the Sport 6MT version utilize automatic transmission. The sedan version is ideal if you have passengers frequently as some reviewers mentioned that the anterior seats in the coupe and convertible may be a tad cramped. The coupe is ideal if you are looking for sportier handling whereas the convertible is just a lot of fun.

The engine offers an ample amount of power with a 3.7 Liter V6 with 330 HP and 270 lb feet of torque. WEL technology continually adjusts valve lift for a speedier response and more efficient mileage. The ride is surprisingly smooth despite the powerful and fast acceleration. There is adaptive cruise control in place which always keeps your vehicle within safe driving distance from the car ahead. Fuel economy for the sedan is at 19 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the freeway.

The interior was built for ultimate comfort; leather covers the front seats which are adjustable eight different ways and temperature controlled. A large amount of cool options are available including an advanced navigation system with turn by turn directions and traffic updates, a high tech Bose audio system that is USB and IPod compatible. A 9.3 gig music box is available which allows you to store all of your favorite songs. The USB port is located in the arm rest and allows you to plug in your Ipod for easy listening. An optional rear view monitor is available which displays how close objects are behind you. The instrument gauges actually move in sync with the steering wheel so they are always easily visible. The instrument panel is backlit in blue which gives the cabin a cool high-tech look. In terms of cargo space the sedan has a 13.5 cubic feet trunk space whereas the coupe has 7.4 cubic feet.

This luxurious vehicle has been equipped with the latest safety mechanisms including airbags with seatbelt and passenger sensors, traction control, anti lock brakes, and electronic stability control. The convertible also utilizes pop-up roll bars which activate during an impending rollover. Vehicle Dynamic Control is there to correct oversteer and understeer by smartly applying the brakes selectively and the Brake Assist System helps to apply maximum brake force during sudden stops.

The G37 is a car than can compete with the best of the best in the entry-level luxury segment. This car looks incredibly suave and cool, offers a powerful engine with effortless acceleration and tons of extra gadgets and options if you are so inclined. It’s easy to see why it’s one of Infiniti’s best sellers. At a base price of $34k this car offers luxury styling and high performance at an excellent price.
